25 Years of Mega Man - Otakon 2012

Here is another pic from JackScarab at the OtaRockman cosplay gathering on Saturday. Mega Men united!

The idea for this costume actually came to me while I was wearing my Movie Mario costume last year. I thought a similar suit might work, and maybe it would have, but finding one in the right colors proved too formidable. Plus, I lack sewing skills.

As a result, the concept evolved into what I termed as "Kmart Mega Man." In some ways, the worse it looked, the better.

For example: A bit of the helmet's paint came off, exposing some metallic tape underneath. We could have fixed it, but it really only served to enhance the second-rate look we were going for.

On another note, my legs should have been wider apart here, but I think this was taken after they were practically shot from the group photo, which you can see here. That one took forever, and my legs were literally shaking by the end!
